As a Californian, I am thrilled! The whole Prop 8 thing was quite disheartening to me, and I am glad that the courts are ruling in our favor.

Today's Supreme Court rulings are awesome!

Indeed, Melitta! I have not yet read full coverage, but enough to know it won't affect us in Colorado where civil unions were approved by the legislature about two months ago. For those living in states contemplating same-sex marriage, the ruling makes the possibility much more realistic -- maybe I will have to consider leaving my home state... Congratulations to all in California who worked toward this day!
