Queer Diabetics

have you ever had to come out as a diabetic? ever had an endocrinologist get awkward when you mention you're queer? this group is for diabetics who also identify as lesbian, bisexual, gay, trans, queer, and/or questioning.

who we are

let's spread some love for our full selves. this group is for queer diabetics to share resources, information, and support with one another. maybe we can start talking about how homophobia and ableism intersect too. and once we start talking about it, maybe we can work on dismantling both forms of oppression. what do you say?

Hello to all! Nice to know we truly 'are everywhere'! I recently moved to Morongo Valley, CA, near Palm Springs. Anyone else in this area?
To Judith, what a great testament to gay/lesbian parenting; always knew it to be true. So nice to hear from someone as close to it as you. Congratulations!

Allow an old lady to crow---Just saw my beloved #1 niece, raised by 2 Moms, get her PhD. And next month I see my two grandsons, also raised by 2 Moms achieve a high school graduation, with honors, and be featured in a school play....I have come to believe that children raised by 2 Moms or 2 Dads are the hope for Justice in our often unjust world.....Be well all!!!

Hey everyone- what a cool group! Who knew that there were so many of us who were queer and living with diabetes! Thanks to whoever started this up!
