TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

Hi I have just started looking into raw foods after someone gave me the Gabriel Cousens dvd and books to look at. I am type 1 and have heard that some have had great success on raw food until they ran out of insulin completely.
Just wondering what other Type 1's have experienced, thanks!

Hi Kristy, I visit infrequently, hence the delay in my response. I am not total raw, but I absolutely use far less insulin
when I do eat raw. It is only lack of discipline that keeps me from eating a higher percentage of raw food. If I have a raw meal with wine for dinner, I usually don't need any insulin! Of course dates and other very sweet fruits have got to be treated like the sugar that they are.
