I'm sorry if that came across wrong, I just wasn't sure if you were asking me specifically. But no worries here for me, please feel free to address any vegan raw food questions/topics here. Not sure where you would turn for the paleo bit???

Kj was saying that this group is meant for Raw foodies who keep vegan, staying away from animal flesh and products.

The question is for everybody. I'm t.rying to become raw food paleo

Comment by Kj on September 22, 2014 at 8:54am

Not sure who the question is addressing. But we try and eat a raw food vegan diet. Vegan for sure and as raw as we can.

Which one are you : raw food vegan OR raw food paleo. If you're a raw food paleo, how do you deal with "cooking" /eating animal meat(fish, beef, chicken, turkey)

Just checked out the website and am very impressed. We have a Kangen Alkaline Water machine and are very aware of the benefits of the alkaline diet. I would love to know if anybody out there has had any success with type 1 and an alkaline diet.

I am new to TuDiabetes, and excited to see a raw foods group. Im not completely raw, but saw the movie "Raw for 30 Days", at the Cousens ranch, and got inspired to try. I have found it is hard to do. I own/invested in a Vita-mix! I have a basic dehydrator, which I have not tried yet. I find the prep is discouraging, and it seems you have to plan ahead. I could really use some support and encouragement!

Ok, just had a pumpkin spice coffee at dunkin donuts which i assumed was just a flavoring, unsweetened. Found out when I started feeling wired that it had 35 grams of sugar and 35 grams of carb AUGH! Now I am flying from the sugar and carbs, afraid to take sugars now (on oral meds) Other than exercising and drinking water does anyone have any suggestions? This rarely happens, sigh.

Certain foods such as broccoli, cauliflower, greens... should be prepared differently when eaten raw. They must be cut in smaller pieces and sometimes blanched to ease digestion and avoidance of stomach cramping.
