I'll be attending the Taking Control of Your Diabetes (TCOYD) conference (tcoyd.org) on October 10 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. I hope to see some of you SF Bay'ers there! Manny says that Tudiabetes will have a booth.

Triabetes will be hosting a fun run + dinner on 9/22/2009, 6:30 PM at the Sports Basement in the Presidio (San Francisco). We'll meet at the front doors and leave by 6:35. All abilities welcome; I can give you a good hard workout or you can run easy with me! Let me know if you might come, or just show up. We'll have dinner after at the Pluto's in the Marina. Cheers.

Uhh... This sounds really bad! I only have fast acting insulin which requires an Rx, unfortunately, which is no good for you. Can you get to an emergency room? I think by law they have to help you.

Hey out there?

After 5 years of fighting for my right as an American to have some kind of identity and then 4 years of seeking disability. I am nw strugglong to get medical care. I was accepted for ssi this past couple of months, now I am running into another snag with my mediCal, and currently as of today am without insulin, my bllod presure medicine is almoost out, and I have without anti-depressants for five days now. I tried to get services switched from Highland Hospital to outside of it. It is next to impossible to get there becasue of transporation difficulties ad mobility issues due to unbearable pain in my legs and back I( I can only walk about a block and a half before collapsing in pain) I called the toll free ssi-mediCal, and was sent to the ssi office, they sent me back to Highland, and then they sent me to the county Social Services, which they in turn told me to go back to Highland. Hospital. Just a big run around for the last three weeks. I don't know what to do. i plan to go back to my attorney on Monday if I survive the weekend without insulin and amke it without the bllod pressue medicine. My number is 510-292-1160

So I don't really live in the Bay Area, I live in Davis--but that's close enough, right?

I am currently seeing Dr. Carol Thomas in Palo Alto. she's affiliated with Stanford and her practice is on Welch Road. I've only seen her once, but she came highly recommended by a rep from DexCom.
