I missed it last year, so this year I'd like to be prepared.  I wondered if there were any activities, meet-ups, etc., scheduled for WDD on November 14.

I'm trying to get some other DOC members to come to town for WDD and wondered if there would be something to do with the T1/T2 peeps.

Thanks very much!

Here are two events going on:

and

http://www.tudiabetes.org/events/dance-out-diabetes

Also, Fabiana and I are trying to organize a Big Blue Test, maybe on our own, maybe at Dance Out Diabetes. What are your thoughts? Want to help organize? Send me an email: emily@diabeteshf.org
MIssy and Kittiecouture's little girl, Ray, will be here for WDD. I'm really thinking that the Dance Out Diabetes will be a good activity for all of us. I think a Big Blue Test at the Dance Out would be awesome and very appropriate. I still have to run these ideas past my guests, but I'm hoping they think it's brilliant. :)

Hey T1s!!!
Whether you were diagnosed back in the day when it was "Juvenile Diabetes;" you are a newly diagnosed college freshman; or you were diagnosed well into your second career, the reality is that 85% of those living with type 1 diabetes are over 18!
Without diabetes camps, it's hard to meet other adults living with T1D with whom you can share information, ask questions, and get support.
That's why Beer & Basals is for You!
Beer & Basals is a casual gathering for adults with T1D who want to get to know others living with T1D and expand their circle of support. Beer & Basals will be hosted by Carb DM volunteers Breanne Harris and Katie Craft.
Our first meeting is coming up on Monday, February 27, 7 - 9 pm. Join us at Crepevine in Palo Alto (367 University Ave)! Hope to see you there!
