i've been looking for something like this on the peninsula on sites like meetup.org and haven't really found anything. would definitely be interested in something like a hiking group or regular pickup games of outdoor sports.

There are fitness classes at the new Ed Roberts Campus in Berkeley through BORP. Open to people of all abilities (a center for people with disabilities).

Hi Amanda,
Check out: http://diabetesoutside.com/. Amy lives in redwood city and is a type one herself. She runs bootcamps, not everyone is diabetic at those but some are. I do personal training with her and she is great. The fact that she is type 1 herself and alters my workouts to what my sugars are is SO helpful. She is actually doing a speaking event about diabetes and excercise for JDRF in the city in september, here is the info: http://events.jdrfbayarea.org/event/adult_type_1_wine_cheese_with_a...
Might be a good chance to see what she is all about or network with other bay area diabetics interested in excercise.
