Now that I've figured out there's a Bay Area group....I thought I'd post info about the Type 1 Women's Group I started in Berkeley. We meet once a month at the West Branch of the Berkeley Library. The next meeting is on Saturday 4/16 at 11AM. The address is 1125 University Avenue just East of San Pablo. Drop by, or let me know if you want to be put on my mailing list or have any questions!

As a member of this group, I can say it is a really wonderful and supportive atmosphere, FUN too, and Zoe is doing a great service. Join us!
Zoe, I am T1, Brazilian, but currently living in Berkeley... I want to come! What should i do? Just show up??
Thanks!!!
Fabiana
Yes, absolutely, just show up! If you send me an e-mail, zoeheyman@comcast.net I'll put you on our mailing list. We're also having a potluck on the 21st, carb-counted of course! I'll look forward to meeting you!
Thanks! I am sending the email soon to be part of the mailing list. See you on saturday :)
I would love to be added to the mailing list. I can't make the 4/16 meeting, but would love to consider future meetings! My email is: Crystaldawn3737@gmail.com. Thanks!
I'll put you on the list, Crystal! We're also planning our second potluck at Amber's house on 4/21 and the e-mail about that should be coming out soon. We had a great time at the first one and it was fun to hang out in a more informal setting, drinking wine and enjoying each other's carb-counted recipes! And just FYI I have the next three Groups already set all for the 3rd Saturdays which are 5/21, 6/18 and 7/16. I'll look forward to meeting you!
Awesome, thank you Zoe! Will be nice to meet some dia'buddies up here in the bay, I just moved up from LA last year. : ) It is always good to have extra support.
hey zoe, I just saw this. I'd love to come by sometime. I probably won't ever be able to make 11 AM saturdays though. Do you ever have meetings at a different time? I live in SF.
cheers
Hi Anne

No, that's the time our group always meets. But we do have an occasional potluck and the next one is Thurs 4/21 at 6:30 at one of our member's house in Berkeley. E-mail me at zoeheyman@comcast.net and I'll give you the details@
I'd like to be on the mailing list for this group. Thanks!
Could you send me an e-mail at zoeheyman@comcast.net and I'll put you on the list!

Ditto for any other women interested in the group. It's a great bunch!
Hi Zoe,

When is the next meet up?
I've been trying to go for a couple of months now but I always have a work function on the same day. Hopefully this next one I will be able to make.
