Now that I've figured out there's a Bay Area group....I thought I'd post info about the Type 1 Women's Group I started in Berkeley. We meet once a month at the West Branch of the Berkeley Library. The next meeting is on Saturday 4/16 at 11AM. The address is 1125 University Avenue just East of San Pablo. Drop by, or let me know if you want to be put on my mailing list or have any questions!

Hi Amanda. I just have to remember to check this group! The next Women's Group is on Saturday 8/20 at 11AM. The next three months are all on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Hope to see you there!

Hi all - is this group still meeting?

Hi Katie: Yes, it is. The next meeting is Saturday, March 17, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the West Berkeley Library (address given above).

Hi Zoe - Is this group still meeting? I am newly diagnosed and would love to join in if so!

It sure is, Shari. Use the link that Regina provided in your thread above to access the list of meetings and the contact person to get put on the mailing list. It's a wonderful group; I moved away from the area, but went down to visit and have a potluck with some of the women a couple weeks ago and it was so great to see them all!

Thanks, Zoe!
