Comment by missrobbie on February 14, 2012 at 2:36pm I just had my baby toe amputed last Friday due to infected ulcer and I would like to talk to other people who had their toes amputed.
Comment by Esjay on February 8, 2012 at 6:04am Following on to Katie's great idea, don't forget JDRF's happy hour THURSDAY, Feb 9 at 6pm at ThirstyBear (661 Howard St) in San Francisco! We are meeting in the bar area. All young professional Type 1s and their guests who can tolerate Type 1-discussions are welcome!
Comment by Katie Craft on February 8, 2012 at 12:25am Hey T1s!!!
Whether you were diagnosed back in the day when it was "Juvenile Diabetes;" you are a newly diagnosed college freshman; or you were diagnosed well into your second career, the reality is that 85% of those living with type 1 diabetes are over 18!
Without diabetes camps, it's hard to meet other adults living with T1D with whom you can share information, ask questions, and get support.
That's why Beer & Basals is for You!
Beer & Basals is a casual gathering for adults with T1D who want to get to know others living with T1D and expand their circle of support. Beer & Basals will be hosted by Carb DM volunteers Breanne Harris and Katie Craft.
Our first meeting is coming up on Monday, February 27, 7 - 9 pm. Join us at Crepevine in Palo Alto (367 University Ave)! Hope to see you there!
Katie
