Hey Luis,

Hope you are well, I haven't met any bias diabetics but I sure have had a relationship end becasue they couldn't deal with the fact that I was diabetic. It's painful to know end experience ignorance on that level but as cliche as it sounds with if the person is not willing to except and love you then they are not worth the time. I wish you all the luck with finding a partner, lover, fling or the love of your life. Everyone deserves someone.

Hi. I know this is an old thread, but I'm new.

My former partner was diagnosed with Type 2 before I was diagnosed (though I'm officially type I, I wasn't diagnosed until my 20's and even then it took years for a doc to admit I was type I). In any case, he came home very worried that I would leave him because he was diabetic. It's sad that something like that even has to cross someone's mind. While things didn't work out for us in the long run, his diabetes (and later mine) was never the issue.

LOL the funny thing is just the other day I said to my mom I wish I had a gay friend she says why I said because he would come over and keep my house up and help me decorate and buy clothes that were flattering to me LOL. Would love to be your friend my brother was gay I loved him so much it has taken me 10 years to get over his death. Don't worry love will come and sometimes hte longer you wait the sweeter it is!

Gabriel,

I think it's a great idea...in that way, we're kind of breaking the ice of being strangers toward each other...well, however, not really strangers because we have one thing in common...that is having diabetes...now who says that diabetes can never be sweeter in life?...meeting new friends and maybe possibly love...oh by the way, i'm 31, female, los angeles, ca...and i can be a friend as well...

P.S. I hope you can find your one true love...
