I'd be up for it, but because of ROP (Prematurity related blindness) I can't drive a car. Pretty far from me here in Costa Mesa. If you folks have any cause to come up to the OC, let me know and we'll try to meet up.

Hey there...I can't believe I didn't see this before.

I'm up right now at about 3 in the morning with a blood sugar of 49. It was 315 at midnight...yes on of those nights/ mornings. But at least I know its gonna be another beautiful day in San Deeeyago.

I would love to meet up, anywhere you like :) I was in your shoes, transplanted from LA about 3 years ago...didn't know a soul down here, let alone a diabetic soul. I'll message you my number so check your inbox.

Gee, I'm always late for everything!! I live in Vista and would enjoy meeting others in my area with diabetes. I've been diabetic for 48 years but certainly I'm no expert but would love some company. If you ever choose to meet up again I'd love to join!

Dear Diabolical Diabetic,

By now, you've met many other diabetics and formed some new friendships!! I hope so!

In your area, in October, (the 24th I think), is the TCOYD (Taking Control Of Your Diabetes) day long conference. I've attended at least 5-7 of them now and LOVE THEM! ALWAYS informative and upbeat! Started by a diabetic doctor, too! I think this website will be planning a meet-up that day as well, so hopefully you'll get to meet more of us then!

Just so you know I live in Lakeside not far away. About 10 miles I totally know how you may feel there are not too many type 1s in SD that seem to want to meet. If you make a time on a weekend I would probably be there

i am thinking about having a meet up in September when it cools down. Please let me know if you are interested and where would be a good place to meet. I live in the SFV and can come to the south land. If you know of folks in the OC ...invite them too.
