Has your doctor made any comments regarding Sugar Stats?

When I last saw my doctor, I took a print out of my Sugar Stats readings (for the last 30 days). When I showed them to my doctor he responded that they did not differentiate between times of the day, and that they would be more helpful (for analysis purposes) if they printed out in a format showing Morning, Evening, etc.

Hey Travis,

Very interesting. Yes, this is one area we find a whoooole range of opinions and interesting ideas mainly because doctors each have their own "Method" if you will and personal tastes in looking at records.

What we have now are simplified versions though we're working on a format/structure that will appeal to *most* doctors (cause really, you can't please them all unfortunately).

I'm curious what you printed out for him though, because all entries show the date/time as well as the tag. Unless you printed him the graph? In which case it would be much more valuable for them if you created a TrustedVue login account and just let him browse your records on his computer in his own time.

If he wants more basic stats, try printing out the "Sugars Only" view from your last_7_day stats or even do an CSV export and print that for him.

I've found my doctor prefers sugarstats "show only sugars" after I actually brought in the laptop to my appointment and showed her the whole site.

I haven't showed my endo the site yet but I recently started working with a dietitian at a diabetic treatment center in my area. I created her a TrustedVue login and she absolutely loves the site. She had never heard of it before and was very excited. I'm planning on creating a login for my endo and telling him about it at my next appointment. I'll post his reaction when that comes about.

Hmmm... definitely sounds like a doctor's personal preference. My doc was very impressed with my chart I printed out. All of the detail is helping her to get a better grasp on my body's reaction to carbs and insulin. She loves the detail and only wishes the graphs would chart exact sugars rather than daily averages (even more detailed).
