TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

Manny,
Thanks for starting this. I really like SugarStats. The best feature for me is that is online. I can enter my data anywhere I have access to a browser and a network. The graphing feature allows me to see trend in my BG and insulin dosage.

Sugarstats is a great program. The best part for me is the inernet accessibility and the shareability. I'm a terrible logger - but if I think someone else might drop in to see what's happening - I find I'm much better about putting things in...

Same here. It is the first time EVER that I log my BG, food, meds and activity consistently.

I know Marston is working hard at making it even easier to use and more accesible (read, Twitter, cell phone, etc.) Exciting times ahead!!

Yup, as Manny says we're working on lots of stuff. One feature I'm looking at is public URL's for each individual page you can post anywhere (Your blog, twitter, forums, email etc) and have people see the stats for just the page the URL pertains to. (So you can still share certain things but save your TrustedVue accounts for the people you trust and want to give full access to.) But one thing at a time of course :-)

Public URLs or being able to select what information is seen by the public in our profile pages would be excellent. I had been developing my own public info page for my glucose levels but if Sugarstats had this as an option I'd probably take the easy way out and point to my stats on your site. Since discovering Sugarstats, I've had my own site always in one browser tab and Sugarstats in another, open all the time.

Another option that would be great is the ability to upload a csv file. That way those of us who have our own databases or use other programs to download from our meters could take advantage of this subscription feature.

Gaelyne,

Yeah, this is something we're going to be working on in the next few months.

As for as CSV uploading, that is what we currently have. We have a OneTouch CSV file uploader for people with OneTouch meters. If any other meter software out there exports into CSV, all we need are samples oft he CSV file and we can create an upload setting for that specific format. We encourage our users to send us their export files from non-OneTouch meters if possible.

As far as custom format CSV databases, we'd need to conform to SOME standard, so we'd have to finalize what that would be. Something like , , ,

I totally agree! Sugarstats is an awesome program. It helps me keep up with everything and see my trends. I still have to go back and copy the sugarstas log into a regular logbook for the doc. He's pretty old school. Does anyone have others, like their doctor, view their logs that way?

Chloe,
SugarStats now has an export feature. All of your data can now be downloaded as a comma separated values file (CSV). This file can be opened in Microsoft Excel (or OpenOffice). Just print that out and give that to your old school doctor.

My doctor dumps my meters to his tablet PC and asks how much average insulin I take daily.

Thanks for the tip, I didn't know that!

Yeah, this was a much wanted feature. Easy for printing and taking to your doctor (That is, if you're living in the stone age and aren't viewing your stats via TrustedVue and their web browser :-) )

I started using SugarStats in late June 2007. I went a head and entered all of the month of June so that I could view the month long trend. I like it! My doctor (GP) has instructed (more like lectured) me to bring my book to all doctor appointments. We also deer hunt together on 60 acres that he owns. I have been thinking about showing up for a deer hunt with my log book. With SugarStats I can just make a quick print out and take it with me. That would suprise him, and knowing him, he would stand there in his hunting clothes and review it! Does any one know if the Color Codes can be adjusted? I have thought about this since my range is 80 to 120.

I agree that it would be nice to be able to change the ranges. I try to keep my blood sugars between 80 and 110. So I have found myself going through and highlighting the bad blood sugars on my printouts since the colors don't match my range.
But I like it because it is easy to use and quick.

Cara,
When you say "blood sugars between 80 and 110" do you mean an average for a the whole day or before each meal or 2-3 hours after the meal?
