I am new to this website and am so happy to have found your group. I am a pretty upbeat person and have had a lot of sad and bad things happen over the last few years. My parents passed away within the last two years and my beloved dog was put down last December. In between all of this, I lost me health to diabetes (type 1). I didn't have time to grieve one loss when I was hit with another one. But no matter what I try to face every day with a smile and laughter instead of tears and a frown. Diabetes sticks and I can't believe at 58 I now have to deàl with this, but I do and plan to live a long happy and healthy life in spite of it. Thanks for having such an ubeat attitude in the middle of everyone's anxieties and fears. It is so refreshing and its made me feel great!

Great outlook You have Brandi, keep it up and always stay positive. Many times when I'm feeling down and fml I think of all the people with conditions they cannot manage, that are worse off than I, then I actually feel fortunate that I've been given this challenge in life, this is the card I've been dealt and I need to find a way to play it.

Welcome to the group and thank you for your positive words! Keep up your attitude!

Hello, I'm Brandi.
I use to think having diabetes was the most difficult thing in life but now, it's not to bad since i chose to grow from the challenges and make myself stronger because of diabetes rather than get mad, give up and say fml. I thought living with diabetes was hard, HAVING A POSITIVE ATTITUDE WHILE most diabetes have a negative one is JUST AS HARD!

I use to ask myself, am i normal? but now, i ask, am i weird that i view diabetes (for the most part) a good thing? Nah, its just that there aren't many of us WHICH is a shame.

I'd be glad to get to know some of you and your story and perspectives on diabetes !

With a lot of passion and so much desire...
The sweetest, that I very much like,
The words I more eagerly enjoy,
The ones that come from your lips, my love

Wish you all the best of Health My FRIENDS

Make sure you pick the right once
Don't listen to the voices
hear only your and you have won
