OK, I feel soooo stupid. ....
Dr. put me on Symlin a couple months ago. Cool, a new tool in the arsenal.
Month 1: I tossed the pen because I thought it was defective... nothing ever came out of it.
Month 2: I continued to use pen (even though level never looked lower) Thought maybe the dosage was sooo small I just couldn't tell.

Into Month 3: DOH!!! I tested injection into sink but this time held the button in for a few more seconds and low and behold..... liquid came out.

I think I've not actually been getting any all this time because I was doing it wrong. Not holding the botton in. In my own defense I was never shown how to use it.

**Sighhh** no wonder I never had any side effects***

I did a "doh" when I first started too. I figured I had used and insulin pen for years (5 years ago). I took it out, threw out the pamplet. I never primed it. So for at least the first few days, I was not getting any!
I thought I had primed it when I saw 3-4 drops come out. Guess i was mistaken there too. Now I know.
