We are a bunch of fit diabetics in NZ who take part in events like half ironman, Ironman NZ, marathons, 160km cycle challenges and running relays. We work really hard to be safe and manage out BG's well with exercise.

I have until sometime in 2013 when my friend in Auckland will decide if he'll stay on or return to the US? If I run a race, it'll probably be another go @ the Chicago Marathon in October...

All camps are subject to change but the dates and ages are listed below. These camps are designed to challenge, educate and encourage healthy participation of all T1 diabetics. There will be forums, skype conferences with other athletes from overseas, workshops, fun activities and training. All prices will be finalised 3months prior to the camp. All camps will be held in Tauranga unless stated otherwise.
•20 - 22nd April 2012: T1 Teen Team Camp (T1, T2 or T3: 14 - 20years)
•1 - 4th June 2012: T1 Run Team Camp ( T1, T2 or T3 over 15years)
•10 - 12th August 2012: T1 Cycle Team Camp (mtn and road cycling, T1, T2 or T3 over 15years)
•7 - 9th September 2012: T1 Team Camp (swim, cycle and run training and T1, T2 or T3 over 15years)
•18 - 20th January 2013: T1 Youth Team Camp ( T1, T2 or T3 between 8 - 13years of age with at least one parent present)
Comment by acidrock23 on January 12, 2012 at 3:29pm W00t, I'm on the fence about the marathon this year. I like 1/2s a lot and don't feel like they are "work" Still, it would be a long summer without a goal?
