Just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful year!  Good luck with the first days of school!  I am a little anxious!  I am still having the back to school nightmares that I experience every summer!!  You know the ones where you have a class that is so out of control that they won't even listen to a single word you say!!  Or is it just me who has those??

Funny, I have them all summer - can't get to class, unruly students, missing clothes, no lesson plan. It is always mice when I awake and find myself in my bed and able to sleep in. Two and a half weeks to go. Good opening!
Yikes!! Never had the nightmare where I don't have any clothes......yet!
I know how you feel- it will be my 28th year and I still get those first day jitters.
I know, I'm switching to first grade after 13 years of teaching kindergarten. And I have to move to another room. So I'm tripping.
I'll be at a new job site this September. New school, kids, administration, freshman orientation next week...

I had no idea so many teachers have diabetes! I teach 5th grade and use a DAD.
What is a DAD?
Diabetic Alert Dog
how interesting- what all can he do- are you a brittle diabetic?
Yes and hypoglycemic unaware. I drop to about 40 or rise to 400 before I know it. I can eat the same thing for breakfast each day and take the same insulin, but react differently from day to day.
Lucas can smell when I go low or high and he alerts. He usually alerts by 80 on the low side and 225 on the high side so I am kept in a much tighter range. My a1c has gone down :D.
I have parent nightmares. Our administration gives us no support and our parents tend to be harassing and demanding. My nightmare I walk into my classroom and its full of parents instead of kids. Yikes!
Haven't had any nightmares this summer, but after reading all these I bet I have one tonight!
