BMI is 22, c-pep is normal, blood work is normal with HDL at 70 and trigs at 80. I have to low carb or my blood sugar goes out of control so eating more carbs is off the table. My endo warns against more weight loss but it's not like I'm backing away from the plate or limiting portions. So anybody have any good ideas for weight gain?

Increase good fat and protein. I am just starting to experiment with different variables so i cant really report too much at this point, but i have started incorporating high fat (good fats, nuts, avocados) snacks into my diet and so far my weight loss is slowing down, but hasn't stopped yet. i am also looking at changing my exercise routine a bit to burn fewer calories. Currently my routine is:

M-F Swim .75 (600 kcal burn) mile and run 3-3.5 (500-550 kcal burn) miles every day.
Sat and Sun 1.5 mile swim each day (1200 kcal burn)

I want to keep the swimming up and i deplore the running so i figure if i can work some weight training in, i can both reduce my weekly calorie burn and build some muscle at the same time. To promote the muscle build, i am also coming up with a plan and some recipes for low carb protein shakes. all a work in progress right now.
Well, your weigh loss is slowing so you must be doing something right. I imagine that when you say, "Good Fats" you are referring to staying away from PUFA's
The only fats i try to avoid are Trans Fats (man made fats). In supplementing fats in my diet, i try to stick to Monounsaturated fat fats in nuts and cook with Canola Oil. A little caution with nuts, they do have a small amount of carbs per serving (3-6 usually per ounce) and it can be easy to over do it with nuts. I don't see spikes, but it does raise my BG 10-15 points if i have too many and because they are high in fat (even good fat) the elevated BG will stick with you for a few hours if not careful. to prevent a rise, i uaually only have the nuts one, maybe twice a day and i stay at the 1 ounce serving size.

If i need more fat, i have the avacado. This one you have to play around with a bit. It also has carb (2 g per ounce), but all the carb is in the form of dietry fiber. Some people react to dietery fiber diferent. for some it raises BG like any other carb, others see no BG rise with this type of carb. So officailly avacado is net 0 carbs, but play around and see how it works for you.

A couple links on fats...

i have this problem too.
if i eat more carbs or too much protein - or have allergies or STRESS - my BG goes crazy.
so i stick to a strict diet and exercise and now i am 110 pounds and i am 5"8" and my boyfriend is begging me to go back on insulin so that i can eat bread and pasta and oatmeal...

he thinks i have an eating disorder...
even though he knows that i am diabetic and that insulin was horrible for me - with lows and highs all over the place - and the weight i gained on insulin was all around my middle - fat middle - skinny butt and arms and legs...

now at least i am proportioned and i have gained muscle mass in my butt - but i look very thin...
this is so hard

Fortunately, I can still have carbohydrates...in small increments (my nutritionist has me on 2000 calories per day). I actually feel healthier since I started the medication and have been eating proper diabetic friendly meals. However, it is hell being a thin type 2. I would actually like to gain a little bit of weight (five or six pounds); however, it is impossible on this regimen of BIRD FOOD. You basically cannot eat anything as a diabetic. Then it is borderline impossible to find any literature that does not pertain to WEIGHT LOSS and obesity...and if you do they automatically want to say that you are a misdiagnosed LADA.
It is maddening.

My dietician has me eating lots of nuts to keep from losing more weight. Do you like nuts?

You're right though, all the literature about Type 2 assumes you want to lose weight. I've lost enough -- 32 pounds by now. I had cut out most carbs to try to keep the highs in bounds, but have started eating them now to try to keep the lows in check. I thought I might be LADA, but it turns out my insulin levels are high. Have not yet found a med that works well for me so I'm not taking anything at the moment.
