Anyone have experience finding supplies such as insulin (Novolog) or pump supplies for Animas while visiting India?  I may have need to travel there on business this summer.  In the unlikely event that I become separated from my backup supplies, what would be my short-term options for getting them replaced while in Bangalore and the surroundings.

Thanks to anyone who can respond!

Obviously, it's a different country, but I traveled to China for about 6 months, and I took all of my insulin with me in my carryon, so there was no possible way I could become separated (plus, I figure insulin will be cooler in my bag under the seat than in the storage area under the plane).

However, I was on a medtronic pump, and the suitcase with my pump supplies got lost. I just contacted Medtronic, and they did two things: 1) they found a guy in town who met me in a parking lot and gave me some supplies to tide me over, and 2) they shipped me a box filled with stuff (though it got lost) to my apartment. It took a while to get there, but it worked. I don't know if Animas has as much world-wide support as Medtronic though. You might contact them and ask them. I assume they would at least ship the supplies to you, but it might take as much as a week to get them.
Thanks Anna. That is amazing support! I will touch base with Animas and see if they are well-connected in India.
Appreciate the suggestions!
Tom, when I travel overseas I always carry all my supplies in my carry on. I also get a loaner pump from Animas, in case mine breaks down, but I put that in my checked bag. Also, I carry my insulin in a frio, which only requires water to keep it cold. When are you heading over? I'm heading back to china in June:)
Where do you buy frio's?
I don't know if you've already been to India and Back, but if you want any information about medical supplies in India let me know...I grew up there and travel back often!

I have travelled a lot. I've also spent 6 months in India and Nepal too. In the more developed cities you can find reputable supplies but keep in mind there is a lot of counterfeit pharmaceutical products in that region of the world. Ive carried Medicool packs to as best as possible carry all my insulin with me.http://www.medicool.com/diabetes/diabetes_travel_insulprot.php
