TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

In Twitter, there are hashtags such as #musicmonday, #charitytuesday and #followfriday.

What if we institute a "day" hashtag for #diabetes? For ex #bgwednesday or #testingthursday.

Thoughts?

I agree .. something about #bgnow or #BGNOW (maybe hashtags are case insensitive) seems more appealing because of the rationale you propose.

I love #bgnow too. I was also wondering if we could have another massive test-in( #14kpwd) when we actually get our 10,000th member. It would add to excitement.

I love the idea, Marie. It just is a pretty big project that we are not ready for with such short notice. :(

yes, we're right now at 9,937! When I joined there were only 2,000.

But we could plan for another large test-in (perhaps we should call it a test-out, 'cause spreading diabetes awareness brings self-management, diabetes diagnosis, and type 2 prevention out into the social networking dialogue) for World Diabetes Day ....

We're definitely doing something bigger for WDD. I have begun talks with IDF about it. Could on you?

I love them both!! (#bgwed & #bgnow) I will gladly use one or both if there is a decision made about it. I think it is such a great idea to tweet & post our bg's.. it just makes me feel like I am not the only one doing it all day long, and it actually makes me excited to do it! (yes, I like this kind of motivation, hehe) And it has helped me to find so many new diabetic friends and that is wonderful in itself!! xo
