I am new to this place not new to being a diabetic tho. Was diagnosed in Oct 2002. my blood sugar at fasting was 280. been on and off using shots. i failed to take pills and then we decided i was type 2, (idiot doctors) and i am now confirmed type 1. I fail at doing my shots so much ive ruined myself. I am now up to 4 shots.  breakfast, lunch and dinner are my humalog and lantus at night

Hi Jen. Sorry to hear you were misdiagnosed. There seems to be a lot of that with adult onset T1s. Don't worry too much about the number of shots, they just mean that you've more opportunities to better control your diabetes.
Welcome to the community, I have had type 1 for 33 years and the only person you hurt is you by not following through on taking your shots or medication. I will take extra shots when needed to bring my Blood Glucose down when I am high for better control. Shots don't hurt as much as the suffering we put our selves through.
