My misunderstanding. The only a human can learn to understand is to ask a question and hopefully receive a decent answer.

Must folk so riled up over a question????????? :)

To clarify:
* We've added labels showing what type of diabetes each staff member (where applicable) and each admin has. There are two admins with type 2 diabetes and one staff member with type 1 diabetes.
* The fact that someone has type 1 or type 2 diabetes doesn't mean they only focus on projects or content related to their type of diabetes.

Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other comments or questions.

THERE IS NO TYPE 2 ADMINISTRATOR. THERE IS NO TYPE 1 ADMINISTRATOR. THERE IS NO TYPE ANYTHING ADMINISTRATOR. THE LABELS IN PARENTHESES REFER TO THE TYPE OF DIABETES THE PERSON HAS, NOT TO THEIR JOB DESCRIPTION.

OK...I've had ENOUGH!! I was going to let it all ride but I've had it!!
"Some feable attempts at Type 2 focused activities"
Is that relating to the other group I've initiated?? Or to groups that some other hard working Type 2/Type 1/ Lada/Mody has initiated on THEIR own time? You know....much of this site is composed of VOLUNTEERS!!!
I hold a full time job....when I come to Tu., yes partly it's to touch base with friends....but most of it is supporting others. Geez but your comment is hurtful. Christalyn....if you want to see some changes/improvements...instead of complaining....why don't you direct your efforts to IMPROVING the site.
Perhaps with creating a Type 2 activity that is not feeble.
You want folks specifically for Type 2? You ARE a folk with Type 2!!!! Go for it!!!

Maybe what Christalyn wants is a staff member that regularly posts stuff here, to keep things interesting. am I guessing correctly, Christalyn?

Again, the designations after the names in parentheses have nothing to do with anyone's roles on Tu or DHF regarding DM type or their duties. It's merely the type of diabetes they personally have. There are no people on admin for T1 or T2. Nothing is a catch-all. This has been explained several times.

Jrtpup,
I have perused other parts of this site. I have seen plenty of family and friends caretakers thank this site. I have been a mentor to a woman with a boyfriend who was in denial about his diabetes. Some feable attempts at Type 2 focused activities does not make up for years of in activity that goes unnoticed.

My question still remains why aren't there any folks specifically for Type 2? that is the question. Is Type 2 just a catch all? I have sent an email to the only Type 2 administrator and I haven't received an email.

On other blogs/email service groups that I am part of, the administrators basically made sure the bills were paid, the site wasn't being compromised by spam, flamers, unwanted ads, and technical glitches. They don't post content.

Christalyn, I wonder if you peruse any parts of the site besides this group? This T2 initiative has been posted here multiple times in the past couple of weeks. If you'd looked at the recent discussions, you would have noticed this one from the mom of a young man with T2 thanking folks on TuD for giving her enough info to deal with the hospital where her son was admitted.

I could go on, but perhaps you can browse the forums and groups on your own and find the multitude of posts related to T2 or D in general?

Colorful titles? Do you honestly have any idea what the admins, board members and volunteers here do? Why not ask?

Folks! It has only been recently that this site has a few meager items that were Type 2 based. Having been a member for a few years-I really have not seen anything for US. I don't dig this kumbiya in our community when we all know we are treated and respected different both members of this site.

I looked over to the right at the advertisement about the DHF and notice there are lots of people with colorful title that are Type 1. I am just wondering why there aren't any people (Type 2 or not) focused on Type 2 initiatives with colorful titles besides a development manager (?). I am not trying to start any silliness but this is like being 2nd class again.
