Hey everyone,

I'm currently wrapping up a technical presentation class and I choose type1 as one of my presentation topics. Basically, it just my wife (T1) and I talking a little about type 1, myths and misconceptions, and some of the personal side of it all. I think it's a good presentation for anyone unfamiliar with diabetes... whether they have it or not. Due to YouTube size restrictions, it's broken up into 5 parts.

Feel free to check it out on the video section of my profile and provide any feedback. Hope you guys enjoy.

Thanks for the videos! I watched them with my nearly 4 yr old son. Ha ha. He was excited to talk about diabetes for the rest of the day (he doesn't have diabetes). I especially appreciated the comments about how important having a support system (i.e. diabetic friends) is for your wife. That is what I'm currently trying to help my husband with.
Hi Cason,

Glad you and your son enjoyed the videos. Being the non-diabetic its hard to understand what its like to not be without any support or group of people who really understand. They don't get together often, but my wife has found a group of women that she really enjoys and they all vary in their time with T1. Over the Christmas break they all got together with us husbands and we had dinner. Its amazing to see them (my wife included) light up and come alive when they share their "war stories" and have other people know exactly what they are talking about. It was also good for me to hear from other husbands who understand the non-diabetic side as well. Good luck with your husband in his search... I know us men can be stubborn and have that "lone wolf" mentality sometimes. I know that would probably be me if I had it.
I never thought about how nice it would be to chat with other spouses/partners of diabetics! Now I'm even more motivated to get my husband to hang out with some diabetics, and their non-diabetic loved ones.

Where are the links to watch the video? thanks
