Hi Gang! Does anyone know whether the Omnipod is available in the UK. I'm a paradigm user and nearly at the end of the present pump so was thinking about whether to change next time and having seen the reviews was wondering whether the Omnipod was the way to go but didn't know if it was avaiable here. Any ideas? D

Hi, you need to ask your healthcare team about a DAFNE course. It's for Type 1s -- there are often local variations of this course. The main DAFNE course is a week long and faily intensive but very helpful. The other versions tend to be a few hours a week. Sue

Hi, I am actually from Thailand, but going to study in the UK for Uni. Can anyone recommend a GP or Endo around Egham, Reading, or somewhere in London? I need to register with the NHS when I get there and would really like some advice.
Help please?

Hi, I stumbled onto tudiabetes and thought I would join. Had Type 1 diabetes a while and have recently started using a pump. I live in Warwickshire with wife and two children. The pump has been a new experience for me and the family but it does seem to be quite good.

hi Im Natalie, and i havent visited this site since june last year. I live in Cyprus and because im English Cypriot I thought I could join you guys. (i hope this is ok) It took me so long to rejoin cause everytime I read about different problems each of us are facing, i get depressed. However, i know that by not reading about things like this will not make my problems go away. I just wanted to say that i admire you guys for dealing with diabetes with a smile on your faces and I wish I could be more like you. Unfortunately that will never happen cause I never was able to look on the bright side of things ( i have other health issues also- woopy, like me!) hopefuly , if i manage to continue joining this time, i might be able to 'learn' how to smile also! All the best, may you all be well and strong.
