Hey,
I was just wondering if anyone knows of any outing/get togethers kind of thing in the UK. I don't actually know anyone else with diabetes and would love to meet some.
If you don't know of anything, would you be interested in setting something up?
Let me know,

Hollie xx

I have been Diabetic for years but still do not know how to talk to other diabetics - how do we sort it
I'll be going to the Diabetes UK Derby group meeting on the 18th March (see the details for this in the Event calendar here on TuDiabetes) - if any of you are in the Derby area, it'd be great to meet you!!
I still haven't found anything to do really. However, I don't know if you saw it on the Diabetes UK website, I was an extra in "The Bendy Bus" I signed up to this to meet more diabetics. Unfortunately I was a bit dissappointed as they did say something about there being real diabetics in it they didnt say we would only be the extras. I turned up to the shoot think everyone was diabetic, at the time I arrived I was the only diabetic there and these kids didn't know a thing about diabetes.
I mean come on, the kid playing the diabetic wasn't even diabetic and asked me how to portray a diabetic person. My reply "like a normal person".
Anyway enough of my rant, I managed to get an interview in there though and 3 other diabetics showed up a little later on.
I would like to find a group a little closer to home (I am willing to drive to meet anyone/set something up) and a little more around my age group... It doesnt have to be focussed on diabetes, just people who understand what diabetes actually is.

So if anyone is up for something just let me know. :)
