I have had Type 2 Diabetes for two years now, was first diagnosed with sugar levels at around 16, When first Diagnosed I refused to take tablets and went on a healthy diet eating steamed vegetables, cutting out red meat, and alcohol, found that the sugar levels went down to an average of 10.
Started Exercising doing 40 min Runs and lost a good amount of weight to bring my BMI Body Mass Index to Normal Levels.

When my GP found out that I was not taking My medication he said to me that Diabetes is not reversible and that it would be dangerous for me to continue without medication.

I have heard that having a raw food diet can shock the system back into working properly. Has anyone experienced this or are going through the process of having a raw food diet to test the theory.

Your opinions most welcome

I had a high reading 3 months ago about 7.8 and have dilated and exercised and down to about 6.2 ( I still have a glass of red wine or two) so should I be on medication ?
Hello Raj - sorry I have just seen this -

I have revered my diabetes with a vegan no oil( no nuts) and no added oil diet. I run, swim and I can can now eat carbs. I can have bread!! ( whole wheat with no added oil) Also I went to see a master acupuncturist here in LA where I am living and my fastings went down to 75! I'm not sure what the english number would be, but YES it can be done - it IS possible - british doctors know NOTHING about nutrition, its depressing ! I am with the best endocrinologist in London and food is the last thing they discuss - you need to read Dr Esselstynes book on how to reverse heart disease, the China Study by colin cambell and Dr Barnards diabetes solution its all in there! Its so sad more people don't know about it ! Its the fats - fats turn into glue at acellular level... the insulin can't get into the cells because its like trying to open a door with a slippery handle.... full of fat ...... good luck!
