Those in the greater Portland/Vancouver area would any of you be interested in a meet up with me on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, Wednesday or Thursday I can work out the time either of those days to adjust to your schedule. Possibly meet in downtown Portland in the Pearl at Sisters Coffee Shop at NW 13th & Marshall. There is a street car stop near by. Feel free to Email me rickyjoe@comcast.net

I heard about that on the news... 2 dead and one in critical condition, but the gunman is dead...

Portlanders---Hoping none of you were at Clackamas Town Center this afternoon during the shooting. Please check in here and let us know......Judith in Portland

Will do Judith, I do hope to get down your way. A friend just moved to the Portland area and wants me to come down. If I do, I'll definitely reach out for a pedicure party and make time in my travel plans. I was not a dancer but I've always had a hard time finding shoes that fit well and my feet have often hurt. A good pedi is heaven. I wish they would massage longer, that is the part I need.

Be sure to post a picture if you gt a group to go.

Hopefully we will meet soon.

Bless you, Michelle. I was a dancer for 40 years (2/3 of my life!) and I can't believe I didn't figure this out years ago. It's truly a transformative experience. Now you let me know if you come down this way andd I will do the same if I head out to Seattle. It took me and Kathy and Scott 3 years to connect in Mpls (I live in PDX, after all), but we did it and it was enlivening and a true blessing. So you stay in touch!!!!

Wow, Judith, if it wasn't a 3 hour drive for me to come from Seattle, I'd be there in a heartbeat! LOL
Sounds like a great time to practice self care, our feet are important! and to be treated to wine and appetizers is extra nice. Go for it folks, and take a group photo and share with us.

I know of some good pedicure places here in Seattle but none that are working with the restaurant next door. I envy you this opportunity.

PORTLANDERS: Anyone want to join me sometime in the next few weeks for a Happy Hour at Blooming Moon Spa on N. Killingsworth? For $30, we get a foot soak and foot massage together (Same room, not the same pool of water!) plus wine and hors d'ouvres from the great restaurant next door.

I've been trying them out and these are fantabulous folks who really want to take care of us. Relaxing and really fun!!! Email me and we'll coordinate!

Tracking, Julie and Clinitest---So much want to meet with folks before my knee replacement takes me out for months on 2/29. Keep posting here and at other places as you figure out an identifiable spot to meet. I've never been to one and get lost in a simple mall....

Also---are you loving this snow? Or is it totally messing things up for you?!

I looked over the agenda for the Expo. Not sure what I can really learn. However, being social with others here is certainly of great benefit to all. If there is a tu meeting I'm going!

Portland Diabetes Expo is February 11th! I'm planning to be there! Please let me know if you are going too & would like to meet for a simultaneous glucose test! (just kidding) If anyone would like to say hi though, I'd love to meet you/see you! Jason, Virgil, & I had a blast 2 years ago!
