I'll try to find it now, but I am out of town visiting family in Minnesota. Do you have the link you could post, sweetie?......

Yep! Where are you in Minnesota? That is where I am from!!!!!!!!!!!! It is hard to be 2000 miles away from home, esp when I was only diagnosed in July. I miss my family and friends tremendously!

Hope you can make it! If you can, we should meet!

Thanks! I found it, too.....My sister, niece and great nephew are in south Mpls. I grew up here, moved to Portland in 1976 and fell in love with the NW.

The program does look interesting. I'm old enough for a smidgeon of cynicism with all those vendors and sponsors pushing stuff at us. And I'm a serious lo-carber which the mainstream still tries to discredit. But I get home the 17th via Amtrak and if I have rested enough (fibromyalgia and arthritis, too), I will try to get to a session or two. May I contact you? Perhaps we could meet for a cup of tea?!......

I am from Inver Grove Heights, but had been living (and in school) in Iowa City for the past 10 years until last May when I moved to Oregon.

yes, vendors sometimes drive me crazy. But I'm hoping I can maybe even get some free stuff :)

I wish I could do low carb! I don't discredit it, just think it is really difficult for some people who may be wired to eat higher carb.

A train ride back to Oregon sounds lovely! Long, but very pretty and relaxing I'm sure!

I'd love to meet up some time! I'm a huge tea fan. Glad that is one thing diabetes can't take away from me :)

Safe travel and enjoy your time home!

Such a recent diagnosis, Annie----of course it is disconcerting to be so far from that familial base! Do check out the events page. We're planning a couple meet-ups in December of Portland TuD family!

I can't make it this year... Wife needs surgery, so we can't spend any money...

Blessings on you and yours, justg......

:( I will take good notes and post them if anyone is interested!

I wish I could come but havevwo other events. I would like to hear about it.
