Judith, where can I find the Event Listings for the two holiday meetups? It sounds like fun and I want to see if my schedule fits the event places and times.

Sounds wonderful, and those arches are wonderful when they turn blue!

Great! I look forward to seeing the pictures Judith. And we just recently made the "Puget Sound World Diabetes Day" page on Facebook, which will keep people updated throughout the year about our plans for the next WDD. So if you haven't already "Liked" it, please do and post pictures! I'd love to see all the WDD support around the Northwest.

Hello fellow Pacific Northwesterners,
I wanted to let you know that the Pacific Science Center arches will be lit blue on the evening of November 14th in recognition of World Diabetes Day. The arches are just one of many confirmed monuments to be lit internationally this year, and we need your help to spread awareness by wearing blue on November 14th and posting a photo on the Puget Sound World Diabetes Day Facebook page. And be sure to look for media coverage of the event, including Dr. Carla Greenbaum’s (Benaroya Research Institute) live interview on Northwest Cable News at 10:15 AM. In addition to the Pacific Science Center arches, other Pacific Northwest structures that will be lit blue include Century Link Field, Cheney Stadium in Tacoma and Morrison Bridge in Portland. Hugh Love, your promotion here for RealW8 is a bunch of useless bogus information. Loosing weight can't be helped by taking a pill. Peoples diets need to be calorie deficit in order to loose weight, along with just eating the correct foods. I also question the fact of the product lowers blood sugar spikes. Diabetics can do that by eating low glycemic foods, taking Symilyn, or in some cases drinking vinegar. Are you a diabetic or just here pushing pills? Ken

Hi Portland area Tu Diabetes members, we are going to be having two wonderful holiday Meetups. The first will be on Saturday December 3rd from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Sister's Coffee Shop located on the corner of NW 13th and Marshall in the Pearl District downtown Portland. one block off the street car line. The second will be at Jim and Patties Coffee People Shop at NE 50th & Fremont. I believe the # 24 bus runs on Fremont. We'll be meeting from 12:00 PM until around 2:00 PM. If you have any questions feel free in Emailing me

Anyone from the eastside, Kirkland, Bothell, Mill Creek? Want to meet up, compare notes, grab a beer?

Nearly a native of western Washington as my family moved here in 1949-50... I love the NorthWet and wouldn't live anywhere else! :)

Hi Northwesterners! I've been in Mt. Vernon, WA since 1997 and love it here. We came because my husband was hired by Boeing. I've found a great job for a small company in Sedro-Woolley so we're here for the long term and couldn't be happier about it.
