Do you see a lot of people who are on disability due to their diabetes? I see and hear about that all the time. Some of them seem to be legitimately disabled for whatever reason, but some of them seem to think that they are disabled due to their diabetes? Part of me thinks it is because of lack of education on how to care for diabetes. I think that some of it is due to people not being taught from the beginning that they can live normally (for the most part) with this disease. Maybe it is lack of knowledge of the doctors. I am not sure. I live in a very rural area. Does anyone else feel that diabetes is "over-used" as a disability? Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that none of these people are disabled. I am just saying that some of them aren't.
