I am type II, recently diagnosed living in Las Vegas. No, not on the strip. =>) I am very fond of my primary care physician but when he gave me a monitor he said to only test after fasting in the a.m. He also said that it did not matter what I ate but to just keep it at 1000 calories. He went on to say that I could eat 2 pieces of chocolate cake as long as it did not add up to 1000 calories. I am also in a pretty unhappy hypothyroid situation. I am hoping to find some diabetic education/nutritional counseling at our neighborhood hosptial. Sorry to ramble.

thank you peter i think it's interesting. maybe it's because we southwestern people do things face to face rather than the net for the majority of stuff.

It amazes me that only 6 people in the whole SW have D and use TuD. Well, it is great to see the group growing.
