TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

Hi all! I just joined this group as I am in the Portland, OR area! A heads up that registration for the ADA's walk event - Step Out to Fight Diabetes - has begun! There are walks in Portland (Oct 11th), Salem (Sept 27th), Eugene (Oct 4th)Bend/Redmond (Oct 4th), and Medford (Oct 11th). I will be walking in the Portland walk. Come join us, or sign up for a walk near you! You are welcome to join my team(Team Sage) or start other teams! They are great events so have family and friends come with you! Here is the website to register: www.diabetes.org/stepout. Hope to see you there!

awesome! Thanks for the reminder; it is getting time to sign up!

hey kim, I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask this... but have you ever considered the Summit to Surf ride that the Oregon ADA chapter puts on every year? (I think they are changing the name to Tour de Cure, to fit in with the rest of the national rides). They have all different length rides and it is through some gorgeous country out by the gorge and Hood River. I just like mentioning this event as it is my favorite. ;)

anyway... thanks again for the reminder!

I was just searching for this for the Boise, Idaho area. I couldn't find any information. I am wondering if no one is participating in the walk around here. Does anybody know?
