I am new to the forum so I don't know if this is the place to ask this or if somewhere else would be better. My daughter has had type 1 diabetes since age 4 and has been seeing pediatric endocrinologists over the years. She just turned 18 last week and so we are now in search for a new doctor who sees adults. I have been reading reviews online about different doctors and so many are negative that it has just made it more confusing on who would be a good doctor to see. I would be interested in getting any suggestions on who you personally see and why you like them. We live closer to SLC but she will also be going to college in Orem so I am interested in doctors both in Salt Lake and Utah County. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I belong to a group on Facebook that is specifically for T1 Diabetics in Utah. Feel free to search for the group T1Utah. Both T1s and parents of T1s are encouraged to join.

Salt Lake Tribune did a brief write up about Expo. Check it out:

"Gail Miller, wife of the late Larry H. Miller, who died from diabetes-related complications, will speak at 11 a.m. Other speakers include Sean Busby, a professional snowboarder who has [type 1 diabetes; Libery Afeaki, Miss Tonga Utah; and Burgandy Keel, a “Biggest Loser” contestant from Eagle Mountain."

I threw this little video/slideshow together with Sean Busby's news about speaking at Expo this year --

Anyone met him before?
