Jeez. Sometimes, I just type stuff and who knows what comes out. The Northern VA diabetes support group meets on the 2nd "Thursday" of each month.

I regularly attend a northern VA support group. 2nd Tuesday of every month: 7:00 p.m. Inova Diabetes Center 3700 Joseph Siewick Drive, Suite 408A, Fairfax, VA (http://www.inova.org/healthcare-services/diabetes/support-groups/index.jsp). Next meeting is just a round table discussion with potluck. I am making my low carb almond cookies. I expect we will also talk about the upcoming Tour de Cure. My brother and others ride. Send me a message if you are interested. If you come then you can see whether I look like my avatar and report back.

Hello my fellow VA diabetics. Im new here and just looking for some support and friends who share the same burden of this terrible disease. I try not to let it get me down, and do the best I can with I got, but I'm sure everyone has felt crippled in some way by this disease. I hope everyone is well and good luck controlling your numbers!

Jon - I know the JDRF Capitol Chapter has an Adults with Type 1 group! There website is at1jdrfcapitolchapter.ning.com . Hope that helps!

Welcome to the Virginia diabetics group. I live in Herndon near Reston and Fairfax. I sometimes travel to Richmond for film shoots. Are you new to diabetes as well?

I had tried to begin a pump club in Richmond some time ago, and thought this might work; so I am glad to see there is a Virginia group. Is there anyone in Richmond interested?
