I'm a fan of the Kashi products (except for their breakfast cereals - ick, squirrel food). So their fire-roasted crackers are delicious and only 2pts for 15. Will totally satisfy the need to crunch and nibble. Also, their TLC granola bars and soft cookies are good. Most are 2pts. Some are 3. Their products are so high in fiber and reasonable in fats that they make great choices. Target sells the granola bars for half ($2.60 sometimes) what they charge at the grocery store ($4.99 for 6 bars). Try them there and see if it's your cup of tea. I LOVE them.

I do fruit, too. I like that I can have 30 grapes (about 1 cup), 2 plums, or 1 1/4 cups of strawberries for just 1 point. And Activia yogurts or jello sugar-free puddings are 1 point.

I used to like peanut butter & cracker sandwiches, but PB is so point-heavy. 4pts a pack for what I used to buy. Not worth treating a low or snacking with 4pts when I get less than 25 a day!

I find the little 100cal Nabisco snack packs pretty unsatisfying at 2pts a piece. I like the WW pretzel chips a lot, and the 1pt minibars (mmm...).

Another great resource is Hungry Girl.com. They send out newsletters with points values for all the latest grocery store snack finds. She is hyperexcited about most things, but I've tried some of her suggestions and have been impressed.

Ooo those Kashi crakers sound like they are good! I will have to check those out. I will say I am very fond of the caramel rice cakse by Quaker. I know that rice cakes get a bit of a bad rap, but I get 2 for 2 points and they satify the sweet tooth.

I have increased my fruit quite a bit and it has helped as well. Grapes are so my friend right now! The latest thing I have been picking up are the cheese sticks. I get a 1 point snack and it helps with my dairy since I am not much of a milk drinker.

Oh! This isn't really a snack but Krusteaz has a blueberry muffin mix that is only 4pnts once cooked! I bought the WW muffins but they are like a $1 a muffin and that wasn't very cool. So I have been searching for a mix that would be lower than all of the 6 point ones I had seen.

I've been on Weight Watchers on and off for the last 7 months. I was pretty good the first 5 months and lost about 22 lbs with the flex plan. Lately I've fallen off the wagon and have had a hard time moving forward again. I seemd to have plateued and keep gaining and then losing the same 3-4 lbs. Weight watchers is still the best program out there. I didn't think it would be possible to lose wheight while taking insulin but I was pleasantly surprised at how quick the weight came off .
As far as snacks go, I love the ww Ice cream bars ( 2 pts. ) and find them pretty satisfying, almonds are good too though it's hard to stop at a small handful. One of the best things I found is PB2 which is a powdered peanut butter.You have to mix it with water and it tastes like the real thing ( only 1 pt. per tbsp). Check it out, you can order it on-line from Bell Plantation. The hungry girl site was talking about it too.

Leslie, I have had the exact same experience with WW. I am down about 22 pounds now from my starting weight (7 months ago) and have been sitting there for the past two or three months. Keep flirting with the 25 mark but have yet to cross it. Plateau city. I'm doing the re-energize and get back on the wagon thing, too. I think it's a great program and I've watched my mom come down to the 190s from the 260s in less time than me - but she had more to lose. Just like with A1c numbers, it's harder to fine-tune than to get on the general right track.

Thanks for responding. I know for me if I write down everything I eat and keep track of the points then I tend to lose. As soon as I stop keeping track then it get's much harder to lose. Are you exercising too!? I'm doing a lot of walking ( about 3 miles a day) and it's not making a whole lot of diference. I need to step it up and start weight training again. Maybe we can keep each other motivated. Great for your mom to have lost all that weight. It helps to have someone to do the program with.

I love th hostess 100 cal packs. The straberry cupcakes and banana struessel muffins are my favorite. They both have like 5g of fiber so they are only 1 point. I found they are great for when you have a hankering for something sweet. Also they both have around 15g carbs so you wont be overloading on the carbs. I also like to have some fruit like grapes or an apple. I also love yoplaits lite thick and creamy 100 calorie yogurt. I think they taste really good and I like that its not runnylike some of the lite yogurts are.Also they are only two points....lets see, what else... oh yeah I also like the keebler 100 cal packs of the fudge stripe cookies. They are 2 points but you get like 15 mini cookies. I now they are smaller so it probably is like 3 of the regular size cookies but the amount tricks my brain...so it works for me.

OH yeah for those of you who are not a fan of milk, I tried the latte straws that they sell at weight watchers and I think they are really good. I actually really like milk but I have always loved whole milk. I had to switch to fat-free since it is lower in points and doesnt send my bg's out of wack as much as whole milk. anyways I think they make the fat-free milk much better and each straw is 0 pts.

the hostess stuff is wonderful. I go chocolate. Also check out the 100 cal microwave popcorn. YUM YUM

Has anyone tried the Vitalicious Muffins and Vitatops? They are 1 point a piece, full of fibre (avg. 6 grams) and low calorie. They are also a reasonable 14 grams of carbs. The Vitamixes allow you to bake them at home, which is much cheaper. This is my second time at Weight Watchers and my second week. I gained 2.6 lb, but I was expecting that. I have a 2 week "up" period and a 2 week "down" period. I also make my own yogurt... so I know exactly what's in it. LOL

I tend to stick to whole foods whenever possible for snacks. I keep the following on hand for noshing on: sugar snap peas, baby carrots, apples, plums, fat-free popcorn (1pt per bag!), sugar-free jellos, cherry tomatoes, etc. I like a toasted WW bagel with fat-free cream cheese or bit of jam.

I love to pop my own popcorn. There is a line of powder flavors that are awesome. You can eat a huge bowl for 1 point.. If you need some fun, melt 1 tbsp of chocolate into it for 1 pt, or use the powders for none.

I also like to eat turkey pepperoni (15 are 1 point). You heat them in the microwave for about 2 minutes and they are like chips. Then I dip them in laughing cow cheese wedge, 1 point.

Also, not a diabetic friendly.. but hey I use a pump. A tootsie pop is also 1 point.

Try 1/2 cup of 1% cottage cheese and 1 cup of fresh or frozen berries, like blackberries or strawberries. I often add a packet of stevia and 1/4 cup of All-bran cereral. Makes a great sweet, snack and less than 3 points per serving.
