I live in a premium wine producing area, mostly white wines, some white burgundy and white ports, which are delicious. They also grow avocados in this area, and they are good for you, very good. Beware of the dogs eating too many grapes, they are poisonous to dogs! Veg here grow all year round, except for things like local asparagus and globe artichoke, right now the farm stalls are full of melons and grapes, later it will be oranges and mandarins. Sounds like we live in a similar neighbourhood!

My little small holding /Malaga) is in the centre of Muscatel and 7 other varieties of Sherry country. WE also have Red and Whites! We have 2 growing seasons of many Veg like Lettuce! Right now everyone is pruning the vines (all on the ground!) Picked in August! We can pick grapes, avocados, and never leave the road! Our dogs love them, and we just drive over avocados as they roll everywhere! But all are so bad for me ! Anyway, Back to Granada tomorrow!

It is 58 degrees here in Ohio. On February 22nd! It has barely snowed this winter. This weekend, we are supposed to get some kind of snow, not sure if it will accumulate. There have been no snow days for school either. My toddler son wants to make snow angels. Hard to do without the um...SNOW! Maybe in March.

Yes, Marie. 2/29. had such a sudden, un-premeditated panic attacck this AM that I couldn't swallow my little breakfast. Better now. My surgeon was kind today, though disconcerted by how much I wanted to know in advance! It's not too often in life one signs up voluntarily for weeks of pain, hard work and sleep-deprivation!

Judith, aren't you having the knee replacement next week?

Oh it's a mellow 50 here and just got back from last meetup with sugeon until I see only his eyes over a white mask. Not a bad meeting. Still processing......Lunch and then one of my favorite neighborhood walks that I won't be able to do for weeks---kitty and doggie treats in my pockets, I visit favorite gardens and furry friends for one more week!

Slow Motion Chat. Sigh. PERFECT for me! I always lurk at our online chats, but am too easily confused as they go too fast for me. Badmoon, for me it's not spelling, but an artist's need to edit---a slow process---LOL

Oh yes, Marie. I wear my hair wadded up in a leather thingey with a paintbrush stuck thru it. Last summer it kept popping out of its restraint during my workout & I finally marched to my sewing scissors, leaned over the garbage and hacked off the part that had popped out. Not exactly an even cut. But at that point it was long enough to sit on, so I had room for error!........

we just took an hour to walk around the lake bgnow 80. I need a haircut too, but I don't want to spend the money. I was actually looking at my hair and wondering how badly I could mess it up if I did it myself, I mean, I wear it in a ponytail all the time anyway. snowdrops opened today here a little north of you.

I like Friday afternoons for chat, what would be y'alls preferred time?

Muleman, you are not the only one confused about diet. Everyone says to eat more grain bread and fruit, and then the comment goes 'but why are your numbers so high'! And its grape season here and all the wineries are selling just picked grapes and melons, and I so love these fruits, just that they don't love me.
