no it was machine quilted by Cheryl Winslow, absolutely the most stunning quilting I've ever seen. I get her to quilt most of my quilts, I just hand over the top and backing, and say "do your magic". The only part I worked on was the sashing, and getting the committee organized. It took a year to design and make it. We got our most talented applique masters to do the blocks, they are all hand done, needle turn appliques, all botanically correct, original drawings by one of our members who's a retired Biology teacher and artist. It appraised at almost $3,000. one of the judges yesterday she'd never in her life seen such a stunning raffle quilt.

Ha ha Pup. YES....or walking and reading at the same time, and walking into a parked car (lucky thing I had the sense of looking before crossing the street!!) Or frequenting the library often enough that the staff knew me by name and remind me when it was time to go home for dinner!

Linda you're my kinda weird! Remember reading with a flashlight under the covers after lights out? LOL

Pup....I was one of those odd ball kids who actually liked to perfect their calligraphic skills. That and reading! I enjoyed sports....but never the organized variety....some players always took it too serious and the fun was gone! But give me a bike or skis and you're talking my kind of language :)

Hope everyone had a wonderful mother's day. My daughter and her husband made me dinner last night - london broil and spinach with bacon, yummm. Tonight they brought home a wonderful real, fresh, cherry ice cream and served me a perfect 15g portion!

One of my special needs sons presented me with a bright pink bag with a bracelet inside - he knows mom likes jewelry LOL.

This weekend was a Jack Russell Terrier trial, both days. Exhausting and wonderful. I managed a couple of home made cookies and kept my bg really level all weekend.

The dogs are exhausted, as am I. They did beautifully, my terrier friends all commented on how wonderful my 12 year old looks. Great fun racing and various performance events.

When I got back tonight my son-in-law was ready to plant his first garden... oy! Being the teacher/coach, I got to sit in a chair sipping my iced coffee and issuing instructions. What a great way to plant tomatoes and peppers LOL

Oh boy, Linda. I am a (mediocre) calligrapher. I still have some really fine papers, and find myself just taking them out and fingering them sometimes. My husband never used a pen other than a fountain pen. I miss the 'old days' of quality!
