Hey....not knocking it! I come from a long line of "strong willed" people....that's what's a big plus in the battle of the fittest....especially if the cards you were dealt are not all the best!!!

Too funny Doris....stubborn or what (your dad I mean...well...you too ha ha ) When our daughter Danielle was born in '84, one of the family getting announcements was my Godmother. She insisted for the longest time on naming her by her middle name...Anaïs (pronouced Ana-eece), because she felt it was not only pretty, but unusual (old French). Hey...as grand parents/great aunts or whatever...we can try!!! They were going to name our first grandson Jackson, 'till I opened my big mouth and said "like Michael Jackson?"...that became "Mason"!!

Congratulations, Doris. Jrtpup, my goodness, I don't have those ingredients! -- but, I'll keep them in mind for the next time. I do keep Benadryl and Aveeno's Non-itch Lotion around all year. I'm sorry I can't keep steroids around, they would have been justified. Today I'm pretty much covered with the stuff, but I'm going to try to wait it out. The palm of my right (mouse) hand is blistered, which is the clue to what happened: I pet a dog with poison ivy on its coat! Ughhhh.

Trudy, I'm not a doc, but I've found that a mixture of tea tree oil, calendula extract and a few drops of oil of oregano is a huge help for poison ivy. Drys it up, takes away the itching, prevents any infection. Mix with a carrier oil, like almond oil. Hope you feel better soon!!

Doris, congrats! I like Jacob too :)
