I'd forgotten this...this window of time...the feeling of despair....the supportive friends rallying. Laughing once more at the little pop up head of Izzy. I love you all...what a team we have here ♥

I'm reading an autobiography call I Was Born This Way, and it's a page turner. Synopsis: An account of a man's life when he first realizes he gay. He realizes it before he was molested by heterosexual male family members, friends of the family, and people in the neighborhood. Irony: most of the people knew that their sons, brothers, and husbands were sex offenders. All I have to say is...teach your child the minute they begin talking is not to be afraid to share events that happen. Especially incidents that friends, relatives, siblings tell them not to share. Offenders will always tell a child, "If you tell, I'll harm you and your family." They are banking on a child to believe this. The character in the book was caught off guard on many occasions:
1. Parent of friend invites him in when peer isn't home.
2. Person asks child to enter house and do a favor.
3. Person corners child when he's alone.
Talk your child(ren) and teach them how to protect them selves.

I would agree with that, if not for the fact that I can down two or three cups of tea and not get wired, but even a quarter cup of coffee sends me to the ceiling. And, I sometimes even get a little buzz from decaf. I think I am just reactive to some of the other molecules in coffee... I tend to avoid it most of the time.

I drink 2 kinds of decaf green tea in my personal blend--Celestial Seasonings plain green decaf and Yogi's Green decaf with kombucha (immune system support). My blend also includes dandelion for liver health, hawthorn for heart support, chamomile as a calmative and digestive aid, mint for the Yummy factor and digestion, red clover for hormonal support. Caffeine sets off the dreaded hot flashes! I have found that I can enjoy a half cup of coffee after lunch with only a minor hot flash, as opposed to the make-me-looney-increase-my-BS-18 points volcanic kind. LOL.....

Well, coffee has considerably more caffeine than does tea, so it would require substantially more tea to have the same effect. That might be part of the explanation.

Aaaah, you're going to give me panic attacks with stories like that ;O but no worries, Christmas dinner is assured... I have the hams from 4 pigs in my freezer, so we'll not be going hungry any time soon!
