While I don't remember the exact date on which I found TuD, there is much else I remember about that amazing day. I googled "diabetes artists" because when my diagnosis came in, my artist's soul…Continue

Comment by Stemwinder on January 28, 2013 at 7:05pm I came to Tudiabetes looking, like everyone else, for information. I was at a crossroads and truly needed help. Boy did I find what I was looking for. I found the information I was seeking and so so much more. I found people, people that care and people that understand.
Being part of this family has changed my attitude toward life. Now I'm not just someone looking to learn now I'm someone that wants to give back. If I can help someone or inspire someone or just be a friend to someone I will feel like I have made a difference.
Comment by CherylLuck on December 8, 2012 at 8:07am I am really starting to love to blog and I can do that here. Thank you for listening!
Comment by CherylLuck on December 8, 2012 at 8:05am Until now ... I have felt very alone. Not just because of being diabetic and being on the wrong insulin all these years but because I lost my whole family in 2007 due to estate matters. I buried both my parents, on September 1 st 2007 due to cancer. My husband divorced me. He thought he would find what he needed else where. My 2 sons have not spoken to me since. I have not been able to find my way out of this nightmare...until now. I have spent almost 4 years in a weekly writer's circle pouring my heart out about ALL issues of my life. I am ready to go on now. Not that I am not sad anymore, but because I'm sad I write.
Gotta go to exercise.. TTUL
Comment by MrsCandyHearts on December 3, 2012 at 5:29pm The friendships I've found online through the DOC are priceless, supporting the Diabetes Hands Foundation has become a passion of mine. Neither would have ever been possible without TuDiabetes.
TuDiabetes allows me to feel less alone in caring for a daughter with Type 1. My daughter will grown up more physically healthy, but more importantly, more emotionally healthy, because she and I have had this kind of support.
Comment by Spring on December 2, 2012 at 10:00am My daughter got type 1 at age 12 and I remember it almost like yesterday. My husband has type 2,So the thought of my children getting diabetes was there..There it came..in our face,in our lives,it shook me to my core.It is not fair the hospital guy told my daughter..so many memories of that ..I do not remember any diabetes sites when this came about.I finally found Juvenation-name now Type1 Nation and they were there for this mom while all that emotional garbage spilled out.I found Tud and thought this place looks too big..so I watched and waited and then joined. The first people who touched my heart here are the greeters. They are the ones who made me feel at home.always giving of their time and hearts.I lean on Tud. because I am not strong enough to walk the diabetes road alone.I feel secure seeing all the people who can backhand diabetes and live good lives. That;s what I want for my daughter-a good life and a cure.Thank you Tudiabetes family.
Comment by KML on December 1, 2012 at 6:15am TuDiabetes has been an incredible source of:support, knowledge, friendship, advice, and strength. Having this disease is never easy. But having a community like this and knowing your not alone makes it better, MUCH BETTER.

Comment by Lorraine on November 26, 2012 at 10:05am I participate in TuDiabetes because it's a safe place of support and information. I respect Manny and Andreina greatly and appreciate what they do and how they do it!
Comment by Andrew on November 16, 2012 at 2:15pm I joined TuDiabetes because diabetes is a lonely disease. Nobody except for a diabetic can fully understand what it's like. Don't get me wrong: my family provides incredible support. But they don't have diabetes.
Even just to know that there are other people out there who can sympathize with crazy bedtime numbers and unexplainable lows makes the burden ten times lighter.

Comment by jrtpup on November 14, 2012 at 4:51pm This is great stuff ;) It makes me smile - simple, but never enough of it!
Thanks, and keep it coming.
