TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

The folks at IDF just sent this out:

"Hi everyone
Here’s the kick-off press release for the 2009 World Diabetes Day campaign. We have updated the website – www.worlddiabetesday.org and added a new twitter feed - IDF on Twitter: http://twitter.com/IntDiabetesFed to add to all our social networking venues.

You should have received the first WDD Newsletter today – 6 months to go. If you haven’t, please check it out on the WDD website in English, French and Spanish. You can also sign-up on the website for the newsletter. Now that we’ve kicked off, we look forward to hearing about your plans for WDD and to see how can collaborate.

We are re-thinking the Friends of WDD concept and we are now looking for Champions. We want you to hold your own national/local/online events, campaigns, etc that support your own efforts and joins in the global WDD campaign. We will look to support your efforts where we can on the website and through other venues where possible. If you have a great idea or plans for this year and want to work the WDD campaign, please just get in touch with me directly at kerrita.mcclaughlyn@idf.org.

Warm regards

Kerrita"
