Dumbest logic I ever heard. You sure she's a nurse? If your blood sugar is high, take insulin. It is against your "body's pattern" to have high blood sugar in the first place! And you spend up to 1/3 of your day asleep, and that can dramatically ra…

Neither way is better! That's the problem! It's just preference. The fact that people get so up in arms about "such-and-such pump sucks, you should get on this one!" is really annoying (I'm not saying that's what you're doing, but it's a trend among…

Allison... Did you by chance belong to Prohealth or MSN Diabetes message boards? You seem familiar to me, like we have met on another site? hmm.

Hope Type 1 Diabetes has treated you well since 1994.

It's only the first day so I don't want to jinx it, but so far the sensor has been very accurate!!! Always within 40 mg/dl of the meter reading and definitely trending in the right direction.

I'm really excited :)

Hi Allison! The sensor is in and I just did the first calibration (I waited just under 3 hours -- how long do you usually let it soak?). I made sure that i had no active insulin for my first calibration (i.e. my blood sugars had been stable).

The insertion did not hurt at all and there was no blood ;)

I'm excited :)
