My experience making a T1D fundraising video

Just wanted to share a recent fund raising experience. Used a video as a way to create a more compelling campaign. Have received great responses. There are two stories we can tell. Both are true. One is the story of courage and tenacity. Type one diabetes is a momentous challenge but not a barrier to success and achievement. I tell my daughter she can do whatever she sets her mind to and diabetes is just another factor in her life. The other story is one of risk, sadness, burden and even…See More

"The thing to remember, is that no pump in the world really knows the actual insulin "on board." It is an educated guess. Some of the tube pumps have a profile that assumes a certain absorbsion of insulin and then suggests a potential IOB.…"

A funny thing happened on the way to blood testing

There are so few laughs among the tears of type one diabetes but I wanted to share a couple of things on the lighter side. Perhaps you have similar experiences?1) On a particularly long night when I was struggling to keep my 14 year old daughter's numbers up (she was sleeping), I fell asleep on her bedroom floor. I awoke to sound of my cell phone ringing. I instinctively grabbed the phone and kept shouting hello! hello! My daughter sat up in bed in a terror from the noise. Then I remembered I…See More

All OmniPod Users – Survey of New OmniPod Features

Posted on September 19, 2010 at 3:30pm 0 Comments

This user group has tremendous insight into life with the OmniPod. Our feedback can help Insulet make decisions about new product features.

A previous brainstorming discussion provided a list of features to consider. A smaller pod and integration with CGM are not included as Insulet is already working hard on these. Our next step is to add ranking to the list in order to indentify how important each features is.
