Thanks. The light was one of the features I recommended when the rep asked me what could they do to improve the Omnipod.

Can I ask for clarification is there a light at the end or no light for checks at night?

I LOVED Adin's Video! It was super-powerful.

Just so you know, it's on the home page of IOH:

Are Forums working for you? Did you try posting in them from a different computer?

I can't recreate the problem. If it's not too much to ask, would you be able to restart your computer? If it keeps happening, please click on the Report an Issue link at the bottom of the site, and select the "bug" option once inside, to report the details of what you are experiencing. This goes to Ning (the folks that host TuDiabetes) and I get copied on it.

Hope this helps!

CGMS trial. We are using an old fashioned one that the CDE's office has. It won't show us the readings real-time, it is just something Jess will wear for 3 days, then I will return to them to upload and give me the readings. I'll find out the brand, but she already told me it's the clinical one, not something we'd want for home use. We are hoping to bide our time and get a Navigator eventually. I'd like to think it will be easier to get coverage by the time that makes it through FDA approvals. Jess doesn't want to wear two sites all the time, so it would just be an occasional thing for trending purposes.

I am going to be implementing a poll feature very soon... in the meantime, feel free to use the Forum in a poll-like fashion.

THX for asking! :)

Hey Shelley, nice to meet you. I also saw your posts on CWD. Your son is very cute! From which part in California are you guys? We spent last summer in LA, we had so much fun! Of course that was our last summer before diabetes, live was much easier then.

Hello

My name is Shelley and I am the proud mom of three kids. Our youngest Adin was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 16 months of age. He is now a wonderfully rambunctious 2 year old. I am looking forward to connecting with everyone.

Yikes...please read

Rampage Alert

I am usually a pretty mellow person. I am irritated at the moment. Normally I don't want to fuel the fire or give move publicity to stupidness but... There is an independent film called Raw for 30 days. It claims that an insulin dependant diabetic can be "cured". Seriously? Adin was born roughly 30 miles from the filming of this miraculous event. No matter what diet I feed my 2 year old child it will not allow his pancreas to cre

Frustration and Inspiration

I am having trouble in the forums. I can view the forum area but if I click on a discussion my computer pops out a warning and shuts down the browser. At first I was irritated but now I use it as my own personal slot machine. If I am bored, I click on the forum and the suspense mounts. Will it work or wont it? I contacted Manny but I think it is more of an issue with my computer. I post on other forums with no problems so my computer may just feel too much banter and insight floating around t

The pump and everything that goes with it

Those who know us from CWD probably remember my ramblings and agonizing over which pump to put Adin on. I really thought we would put Adin on the Omnipod once it was available in CA but what became more important then the tubeless aspect for us was the ability to connect with a cgm. Adin isn't all that verbal being that he is only 2 and completely hypoglycemic unaware so the minimed with cgm became our pump of choi

This is fun

I have spent most of the morning playing around with our page. Asking myself do I like this layout or does this one look better? Just when I thought I found one, another would catch my eye. I swear I could still be messing around if I let myself. Maybe I will change it according to Adins' and my moods. I finally settled on Dance Party, mostly cause the name sounded fun and the colors matched Adin's photo.

Then I obsessed over what I should put in our Intro. Asking myself how in the wor
