About Me :P
Hi Everyone :D My name is Amber but everyone calls me "A" for short. I thought I'd tell you a little about myself. I'll start with my story of how I became a type 1 diabetic. I was born with Cystic Fibrosis, aka cf. If you're unfamiliar with cf, here is a link that explains it: http://www.cff.org:80/AboutCF/Cystic Fibrosis affects all your major organs and that can cause you to develop cyst on them. That is what happened in my case. I developed a cyst the size of a grapefruit on my pancreas. In order for the doctors to remove the cyst, they had to remove my pancreas through a surgery called a "Whipple". I became diabetic on December 15, 2003 at the age of 17. I count my blessings everyday. Yes, I have my struggles but who doesn't. We all deal with something and it's how you handle it that shows your true character. God has blessed me with a loving, caring and supportive family. I have a fantastic husband who is extremely understanding and helpful with me. My friends are incredible and that includes everyone on this website :) I'm a positive person, down to earth, a neat freak/perfectionist, I'm amused by the littlest things, I love flowers, owls, going to church & my Sunday school class and anything that's bright & colorful. Cooking is a passion, I really enjoy putting together puzzles, playing card & board games, I'm a huge animal lover, I love my iPhone, I'm addicted to checking my email, I love to watch the tv show "How Do I Look" on Style and Target is my favorite store everrr!!!
