I've been MDI (Lantus and Humalog) for 3 years, daily dose about 20 units. Well controlled (A1C 5.7), GAD negative, low c-pep, thin and moderately active. My endo has asked me to experiment with…Continue

Too good?

I was fortunate that, in spite of being 50, my primary doc diagnosed me as T1. Based on little more than my crazy high A1C, he referred me to an endocrinologist. I underwent the usual tests and was…Continue

"I've thought about both. A lot. My control has been great with MDI as well as frequent testing and I don't hate managing this way. I did not ask my endo for a change, he suggested it. And he was honest about "experimenting"."

I've been MDI (Lantus and Humalog) for 3 years, daily dose about 20 units. Well controlled (A1C 5.7), GAD negative, low c-pep, thin and moderately active. My endo has asked me to experiment with Amaryl on the off chance that I have MODY. He said that, since I test often, I'll know within 3 days if it's right for me. Does anybody have any thoughts? Do we know the long term impact of Amaryl?See More

Hi ,

You may have noticed TuD hanging around the site. It's his 6th birthday this month, and his big international family of people with diabetes is growing. Our 6th birthday fundraising campaign is on! Every dollar you donate allows TuDiabetes to reach 6 people touched by diabetes, giving them the opportunity to not be alone!

Please consider making a donation, as well as asking your friends and family to give what they can. TuD's birthday party will keep getting more guests as we raise more donations (see top of the home page). Let's help keep our family thriving and growing! Please share this message. Thanks!
