I am a teacher in transition from Phoenix, AZ to Jersey City, NJ. I have been a type 1 diabetic now for 14 years, and have had my ups and downs with it. This year I began pump therapy and it has changed my life! I am more motivated to be in control through diet and exercise. And I have a goal of running a full marathon to mark my 15 years of living with diabetes in 2013.

Hi Alice---Are you abroad now? I'm only an armchair traveller, so I really look forward to hearing about your studies in London! My daughter, on the other, hand galavants all over the place---particularly loves Africa in all it's grand variety. She lived in West Africa in the 90s, was teaching a bit in Nigeria last year and next month is taking her students to South Africa......

Be well and do keep us posted!.....Judith in Portland
