I need some suggestions ladies.... I have gone from A+ control for almost 3yrs to conceive and carry my baby to probably an F in the last 8 months since she's been born. My last A1C jumped from 5.6 to 7.3. I was warned that my control was probably gonna go out the window but I figured since I had warning I wouldn't let it happened....oops. Congrats on your healthy baby and pregnancy! I am newly pregnant (5 weeks along) was just wondering how you did it? I have a terrible time with whole wheat things, I will spike about an hour and a half after eating for some reason, I have been following a low carb diet before pregnancy to keep my A1C down but now I am getting so hungry that I dont know how long I will be able to keep it up, if you have any suggestions that would be great!

I was reading your post about being the worst diabetic ever, and I feel so much better...my A1c is 9 right now. I havent been in great control for awhile, but I usually hang out in the 8's. When my dad got sick I really started to slack off. Now with pregnancy on the brain, I am hoping to get my A1c down to 6 but it really seems impossible. I am going to Joslin on the 1st for a CGM class- hopefully I can start on that soon. Anyways, you are kinda my inspiration for this so hope you don't mind if I bug you with lots of questions!
