Been a while

Posted on July 5, 2009 at 4:36pm 1 Comment

I guess it has been a while since i have visited Tudiabetes. I've been super busy these last few months. I guess you could say i had a little fall out of really taking care of myself and my blood sugars and what not. I had an incredibly stressful Spring quarter of school and just couldn't get into the swing of everything. Everything just started to pile up and i just kept putting it off and putting it off.

Anyway, I'm thankful that i am done with school for a couple months. I feel like i'm… Continue

Best endo appointment EVER (so far)

Posted on February 2, 2009 at 9:00pm 5 Comments

Ok so i may not have years and years of this diabetes lifestyle under my belt, but my A1c has been around the block. When i was diagnosed, i was at 14, which is expected. Then went down to 9.1 and then back up to 11.9 after a long while of just not wanting to deal with anything. Anyway, i had my first endo appointment today after a few months of really trying to take better care of myself, and i was soooooooooo nervous to see what my A1c would be. I was shocked when my endo said i went all the… Continue

Alright, so for a few months there at the end of 2008 i was going through an "i hate diabetes, this sucks" stage and i was testing my blood sugar once a day at most...no joke. I was being yelled at by my parents and i had several stern lectures from my endo about having better control and testing a lot more. It made me even more mad and really didn't make me test anymore then i had been. So this went on and on and on and on.

And then 2008 was finally OVER! I was so thrilled! 2008 was the… Continue

I like the quote from Nin....Anaïs is my daughter's middle name. It was originally meant to be her first name...but would likely have been seldom pronounced correctly lol.
What are you majoring in?

Allana - just curious - came across your discussion about your Animas 2020 chipping - did you get a new pump in the end? I came across a link at Animas in the US for skins for our pumps (also for Ping).
